Tranquil Seas
Silvery waves roll gently onto the shore, white foam clinging to the pebbles. Dark tangles of dried out seaweed line the beach, waiting for the tides to return. Salty but fresh air is brought in by the breeze, filling the lungs, cleansing the soul.
There is a chill in the air but the sun warms the skin, hinting at the coming of spring. More and more the sun breaks through the grey that has shrouded the land for so long. But for now I stand and stare at the silvery seas and the horizon beyond with my scarf wrapped tight, coat on, boots tied, cosily warm and content.
